Well at about 7 weeks you can see a little blob with a heartbeat, but it’s not until about 12 weeks that you can see the arms and legs wiggling about!!

I got my first ultrasound at 9 weeks 5 days I do believe, and my fiancee and I could just barely see our little one in there swimming around. Based on that, I’m gunna say around 7 weeks you’d see SOMETHING in there, but it might not be quite obvious if it is a baby. A little after 9 weeks it’d probably be a lot more obvious what it is.

^ There’s the picture of my daughter at her first ultrasound, in case you’re curious what it would look like. Looks like a little alien to me, but we could tell she was moving and “dancing around” as we called it.

    Good luck :)

The 12 weeks scan is when it starts to look like a baby. before then from 6 weeks you can see the sac, and a circle but not much more.

I saw my little un at 6 weeks (emergency scan due to bleeding) she looked like a tiny dot but they could see ther heartbeat – The first time i actually saw a baby shape was one i had at 10 weeks. You could make out the little arm and leg buds – Sooooo cute!

I saw my DD on an internal sacn (didn’t show up on abdominal) at 6+5 following ableed. All was well. With this one I saw it at 7+5 clearly on abdominal, and even got to listen to the hearbeat!

I think about 6 weeks is regarded as the earliest, but chances are it will be an internal scan and even then it may not show up xx

5-6 weeks is the first time you will see the baby, but before that you can see the sac. You can see the heart beating around 6-7 weeks.

about 7 weeks from the last menstrual period or 5 weeks after conception. before that all that can be seen is the gestational sac. it looks just like a black blob on the ultrasound screen. sometimes you can see a small whitish dot inside the black sac but usually its at about 7 weeks before the actual embryo can be seen. (abdominal scanning). the internal ultrasound can pick the embryo up slightly earlier.

I had a scan at 6 weeks, all I could see was something like a baked bean and then another scan at 11 weeks where my daughter was more baby like to look at.
