Is it normal to feel the baby scratching my cervix/bladder once its head has engaged?
Question by nuch: Is it typical to feel the baby scratching my cervix/bladder after its head has engaged?
I am 35 weeks pregnant and my baby commenced to drop a week ago. I don’t know if it’s totally engaged yet, but due to the fact the infant dropped often when it moves I get these really painful scratching emotions, as if the baby’s hands are scratching my bladder or possibly cervix (really feel it just above/behind the pubic bone). Is this normal?

Entirely ordinary! I constantly told my sister-in-law that I was confident my children would be born with knives in their hands. She had no thought what I was speaking about until the finish of her first pregnancy! It’s no fun, but it’s absolutely usual.

Yes, as soon as my baby’s head started to engage I could feel these really weird sensations like the baby was trying to punch/tear it’s way out! Sometimes they were really sharp pains and others just sort of rubbing. I think it’s just where baby’s fighting for space in there now it’s getting bigger!

Yeah thats normal. My baby used to punch my pelvis and bladder. I also felt the scratching feeling (strange isnt it).
Good luck
