    Hi,

My boy was about 13lbs 2oz/6kg at 10 weeks.

He was 8lbs 9.5oz at birth (11 days late), he is currently 18lbs 7oz at 21 weeks old.

He has always been on the 75th centile for weight and is 91st centile for length.height.

Is your baby a long/tall baby? either way i really wouldn’t worry about it. It think at this age as long as your baby is gaining weight it doesn’t matter.
As soon as they are mobile they go all slim again.
I should think HV would only worry if the weight gain was exteme – off the charts!

    That’s normal.
If he’s formula feeding, baby tends to gain weight faster on that.
If he’s breastfed, that is also okay.
Breastfed babies tend to gain quickly, and then level out.

If your doctor isn’t concerned, you’re fine.
For what it’s worth, two out of three of my sister’s children doubled their birth weights by 12 weeks.
Meanwhile, my little ones didn’t double until 6 months.

Somewhere between 13lbs and 15lbs. I got him weighed at 8 weeks (12lbs 14.5oz) and 12 weeks (15lbs 8oz appx) so probably about the same as your LO :) Oh, and he was 7lbs 8oz at birth, so again, roughly the same as your wee one!

Luke put on a tonne of weight in the first few months, but honestly it does level out eventually. At 5 months he was 20lbs 7oz, but at a year old he’d only gone up to 23lbs odd, then at 14 months he was 28lbs, lol, don’t know how that happened. It’s all to do with taking big growth spurts.

    14lb 5oz, born at 9lb 6.5oz.
