i bought all my things quite early except for the pram (they say its bad luck) i bought the pram 2 weeks before i was due!
Everything else i had by 22-25 weeks

Are you planning on having a baby shower? Usually you will get a lot of things there, and whatever you don’t get you can buy after the shower. Just make sure you have your shower early enough so you have time to buy things after! As far as little things are concerned, you can always start picking things up now, like little outfits or other things you may see and like. Good luck and congrats!

I would start buying the more expensive things anytime.. i bought my crib and dresser/changing table when i was about 3 months or so along. If you spread it all out, everything you have to buy, it makes it a little easier on you financially. Have fun, and congrats!! Get shopping!

some places let u pick and pay off so at least u dont have them but can budget its means its not all a rush all at once check ur nearest baby store to see if they let you ,some offer refunds if unforeseen happens

waited until after my baby shower. only because my mother in law told me to and im glad i listened because after my shower i didnt need anything and only had to buy sometime if i liked it not because i needed it

when ever you have money start buying things so you don’t need to but them all at once.Unless you know people will buy you them at a baby shower then you should wait to see what you get. I just kept all my receipts just incase I got doubles of something.

I didnt but the pram or cot untill i was about 30 weeks (luckily as my daughter was prem at 33 weeks)
But when i went shopping id keep my eyes out for offers on nappies and wipes. By the time she was born i had loads and they were all buy one get one frees so i saved a fortune.
I didnt need to buy nappies again till she was 6 months!
It depends how much space you have though too, but its worthwhile investing in offers.

i started around 20 wks but many places let you put things away and pay off weekly or when ever or some shops such as mother care i think will hold your stuff untill you ask for it .but u don’t want your pram in your house till baby is born superstision

I just got bits every week after my 12 weeks where up just bought my pram and cot this week and i’m 32 weeks just buy things when you have spare cash .

between 16 weeks and 30 week but not the pram u can pick the one you like and when the baby comes get the dad to pick it up from the shop

I bought a few bits from 8 weeks but all the big stuff like pram & nursery were from 6 months onwards.We were superstitious that if we assumed all would be ok & bought all the expensive stuff then something might happen. I actually remember someone telling me this & it freaked me out.
In the end we did almost lose her but don’t think its anything to do with when we bought furniture- more to do with stress so you relax & buy what you want when you want.

I just started buying things a few weeks ago b/c I’m lazy & having a baby shower soon. If ur having a baby shower, u can wait until after that to c what u need. If not, u can go ahead & buy after u find out the gender. U can always buy onsies, blankets, diapers, & any other thing that u can never have enough of at anytime though. Good luck!!! =)

I started buying quite early on in all my pregnancy , i have a baby store just round the corner from me and most of my big items i put away at the store and paid weekly , i think it just depends on when you have the money to buy the items if you can buy them now then go for it , good luck with everything!!!!!!

With my oldest kids I used the same cot etc for them. I bought all the equipment when my oldest was 26weeks.
With my quads I bought all the stuff when I was 20weeks.

In my religion, it is considered bad luck to have any baby things in the house until the baby is born.
Of course you can order things like cribs and bassinets and linens.
The rest is up to your hubby to put together and run around buying things while you rest in the hospital or at home.
Some people have a few things but leave them at a friends house.
I didn’t have anything prior to the birth.

6 months to be on the safe side, as i have had 2 mis carraiges and its not nice if you have stuff you brought for the baby

but for me
baby 1
we had a crib, mattress, bedding, lamp entire room decor before our first Dr apt. We found out on a Friday night late home prego test and by Sunday we had it all. I know a little early but I am like clock work to the hour. So it was for sure before we even took the test. As for the room decor we just new it was a girl and we were right. I did keep all tags and things in bags as for room decor just in case till the ultra sound.
After that point on every 2 weeks we went shopping. By the time the baby was here she had so much stuff that she didnt even wear half of what we bought her per months.
We got prego with baby 2 7mo later and also a girl. We didnt buy much for her. We waited til closer, and if we saw something at a good price yeah we bought it but had more then enough.
now 31/2 years later were prego again with baby 3 boy! I am 25 weeks and have not bought anything. We have crib that someone gave us and well it can wait till closer to have the baby.

I would say buy as you can afford, people do say its bad luck about the pram but if you believe all of that ask a relative to look after it – my mum will store mine as she is buying it as a gift anyway!

I had brought things like blankets , sheets, sleep suits, vests etc by 20 weeks. I also picked up nappies and toiletries especially when they were on offer. I had also got my moses basket and baby monitor. When i was about 24 weeks i got my pram and most of the rest. Family also got me things from when i was about 12 weeks and as they could afford them. There is no right time. We brought stuff as we could afford them. Just start buying things when you feel comfortable with it. Good luck with everything

im 21 weeks pregnant and ive got stuff for bath time like baby shampoo etc, nappy bags, baby wipes, baby grows bodysuits a little set for when he/she comes out of the hospital and more.
i got the travel system last week but its at my sisters house because its bad look to keep it in your own house. my partners nan is getting the cot for us and my moms suprising us
