Yes, I know a few people who are raising their children as vegetarians. You have to make sure they get proper nutrition, especially proteins (beans, yogurt, eggs). After 10-15 years of being a vegetarian it will take time to incorporate meat if that is what they choose, but it is possible. You may want to incorporate a little fish to your child’s vegetarian diet if you aren’t strictly opposed. Eating some cod or salmon once every week or two will provide a lot of nutrients usually in meat that are hard to find in other foods or vitamins.

Other way round, You should give your child meat until they have grown properly, at least 13 when they can make an informed decision themselves as it is their bodies. The people i know that have grown up vegetarian have health problems now like anemia and are too thin and weak. Its not fair forcing that onto a child that doesn’t know better
i know it would be really hard for you to cook meat for a child, maybe your partner could do it if they weren’t one?? Or maybe only give them meat (something with lots of protein in) once a week and during the week give them other stuff full of iron and protein. This way would also be easier as young children are never going to eat the substitutes for meat that they need because most of them are vegetables and beans

how you raise your child is your choice.. he /she however would be lacking alot of things in their diet their body and brain need to grow.

Yes just give him vitamins! and make sure his blood is ok! Im a vegetarian and i want my kids to be as well but i prefer them to eat meat from the start so they’ll see what it tastes like and than decide how to continue..

Yes, it’s safe and fine.
Meat has no nutrients that aren’t present in other foods.

1. Meat is actully healthy for children.
2. I recommend you just wait till they are 10 or 11 and ask them if they would like to be a vegetarian.
3. I really think you should let them eat meat and chicken before age 10
– Up to you, may have to ask ur doc.

It is perfectly safe, if not healthier, than an omnivorous diet; as long as their meals are balanced correctly, the baby should have no health or development problems.
