The cord will have a dressing on it.
Infant grows are fine.

nope, they wear the same clothes as they would any other time, the cord wont get bothered, as long as you have a onsie on her..but gowns are okay, just pack an outfit that you want her to come home in..=]

Any kind of baby clothing will be fine for your baby.

6 vests, 6 babygrows and I always took a special outfit to come home in (my 4 all wore the same outfit which I have kept). 1 pack of newborn nappies and 6 muslin squares if you have them. Scratch mits if you’re using them. Best wishes, it’s very exciting when it gets round to bag packing time.

I don’t know much about the UK, but I had a baby and I loved to buy her clothes. When she was born at the hospital, she wore a little t-shirt provided from the hospital. I packed her little newborn gowns. They’re comfortable, long, and they have little mittens so your new baby doesn’t scratch it’s self. (they sometimes tend to do that)
Plus, they’re adorably cute!
Congrats!
