When I had my 4 children, the hospital always gave me the classic, gold Dial soap for them.(just for the body though, only H2O for the face…)

When i had my little girl. I use to use top and toe. By Johnson. And that was for her hair and for her body.

With mine i used to just put a small amount of baby bath into the water and wash them with the water, babies don’t sweat or run around outside so their not dirty, just use warm water and cotton wool.
    Congratulations and best wishes xxx

At two days old how do you know that your baby’s skin is not dry or sensitive?!!

Just plain water is fine, or if you must, then put a TINY bit of liquid baby soap (Johnson and Johnson baby bath for instance) in the water and swish it around with your fingers. At my hospital the midwives told us to use a very small amount to wash the baby’s hair and then when you rinsed their hair off in the bath water, the soap that came off in the water was enough to wash their body with.

I just use water and a tiny bit of johnsons baby bath.

if i’m just top and tailing her though, i just use water.

Just water and a pea size amount of johnsons ( the lavender 1 is fab for bed time) use talc especially under the neck you wil find that babies dribble and they get sores under the neck so just cooled boiled water under there use a cotton wool ball.

    Congrats on your new baby!!

    enjoy

When my daughter was that young I simply bathed her in water once a night. Although I know that there are products on the market for newborn babies, however I felt they weren’t worth the cost, when my baby was never ‘dirty’. Hope my experience is relevant.

When my son was born ( hes now going to be 1 in 2weeks) we were advised by the hospital to use just water and we used Johnsons shampoo for babies for his hair.
Then when he got a bit older we used Johnsons shower gel.
Congrats on the birth of your baby.
