BEST BABY NAIL CLIPPERS(I’ve tried a lot)~PERFECT SIZE~EASY TO CUT TINY NAILS

July 1st, 2010, Posted in baby nail clippers reviews

These are hands down the greatest baby nail clippers I have used and I’ll explain why.

Grip Size-this size is perfect, not too small, not as well big. Should you had these nail clippers w/out the white grip part it would be harder to maintain. We have numerous pairs of them and they tend to turn within your fingers as you try to cut the nails. Then you’ll find the nail clippers that have As well much to hold onto. Some individuals might like the ones that you grip within your entire hand but to me you just can’t get extremely precise when trying to cut tiny nails. With these, I usually grip the white part between my thumb & pointer finger but I can also maintain it a lot of different ways and it is still easy to cut tiny nails.

Clipper Size-these have the perfect little size to easily cut tiny nails, now you’ll find ‘safety’ clippers that have extra material around the clipper component but I HATE those. Not only do they make seeing the nails hard, it is hard to get the nails in to actually cut them. In the event you are as well afraid to use these regular clippers and need the added safety material, you probably shouldn’t be trying to cut a baby’s nails.

Clipper Sharpness-these are so sharp, makes cutting tiny nails really easy and quick in one click. I’ve got other nail clippers and they only bend their nail or will barely cut it and then I’ve to keep clipping various times to get it to actually cut the nail off. It is like using knives in the kitchen, a dull knife is a lot more dangerous than a sharp one if you’re trying to cut something.

My girls were both really little when they were born and their nails were actually as well thin to cut at first. We could only file them. Once my girls nails were able to be cut we tried at least 4 different kinds of clippers with NO success before buying these. My daughters nails were TINY and these made it a lot easier to cut their nails. I’ve actually employed these to cut my nails and they work better than my adult sized clippers.

Also, you don’t need the clippers with the magnifying glass or the attached light, they don’t work very well at all.

Note: These clippers do cut straight across so you’ll probably have to round the edges of their nails with a file. I’ve employed nail clippers that are rounded but depending on your childs nail size(and no nail size is the same) they either dont cut enough or cut as well much. I like these that cut straight across because you can get a closer-more precise cut. And I always fild their nails after they are cut no matter what so they are nice & smooth & won’t scratch themselves.

My girls are 14 months old and I’ve had these since right after they were born so I’ve used these clippers a lot and they are not dull at all.

Less Comfy to Use Than Security 1st Nail Clippe

Security 1st makes various , including design 49523 (Security 1st Hospital’s Alternative Steady Grip Nail Clippers); product 49539 (Security 1st Complete Nail Care Set) which includes what seems to be clippers similar to product 49523 but with a holder at the back for emery boards; and product 10435 (this one). All three of these nail trimmers are inside the “Hospital’s Choice” series.

Overall, I prefer the 򁑳/49539 product (see Customer Images) mainly because it’s more comfortable to hold for the following reasons. Very first, rather than a small white plastic bulb, the 495Ƿ/49539 has a larger white-and-orange or white-and-blue handle that enables you to hold the clippers like a “gun” with your index finger under the blades and your thumb on the lever. Second, the orange or blue part of the 49523/49539 handle is soft and less slippery than the white plastic of this product. Third, the lever has the exact same soft orange or blue non-skid rubbery material at the end, thus providing a cushion for your thumb.

In terms of cutting nails, the really very good performance of this model and the 49523/49539 are the same. (They both leave the nail edges a little sharp, so some filing is needed.) So I recommend buying the 49523/49539 instead.
