Unless you are under national poverty level, babies don’t make cash cows. I would suggest you start saving up for your child’s needs rather then expecting the government to pay them.
I am sorry I don’t feel I am outta place, there are jobs out there and if you really, really needed one you would get one but because our “fine” government wastes BILLIONS of dollars on tax payers to support the poor or lazy people start using the word “can’t” is it not a “can’t” it is a “I am not willing to take something “under me” attitude and someone else will pay my bills so I can wait”
As for this world being a “tough place” or “times are hard” well, ya, they are hard and they were hard when you got pregnant and they will still be hard in 9 months so if you can’t take care of YOUR child don’t have one, wait, be responsible rather than expecting someone to take care of your needs for you.
Now, I think there are good programs for NEEDS but I don’t think they should be allowed to get milked they way they do and people who get pregnant and have kids and never worry about anything else because they think “ohh well, the government will support”
Both my husband and I do what it takes to give our family a good life and we do it on our own, without family, without friends, without government help. People are just not as determined as they used to be, because now there is something to fall back on…

If you’re at least 25 weeks pregnant and are expecting your baby on or after 6 April 2009, you may be able to get an extra £190
If your on income support you get £500 after week 29 if you apply.
After birth you get child benefit and milk tokens if you are still on
income support.

My family dont help me out much as I dont like to ask I like to try and get through it on my own, but they have helped me in the past im not ashamed because thats what familys are for!!
