Question by Kikaaz: What happens if your 1 year old child ate a smartie he observed randomly on the floor?
I observed my baby chewing on a smartie he discovered in a waiting region on the floor. Is he okay?

If he’s not choking than ‘this too shall pass’. It’s not something you should do on a regular basis (ewww off the floor?!) but he’ll survive just fine.
My friends 18 month old boy came out of a dress room at sears once with gum in his mouth. It took his mom a moment before she realized that she hadn’t given him any gum. Before she could grab it out of his mouth, he swallowed it. We were more tramatized than he was!

He’ll be okay, I don’t see where it can actually hurt him. There are to many myths about things like this. I have two kids myself and I can say it’s not the first time you’ll catch your baby trying to eat something they found.

He’ll most likely be just fine. It probably had some germs (most things do) on it that may or may not make him a little sick (like a cold)… kids put all kinds of things in their mouths. Don’t stress. He didn’t choke on it, you did the right thing by taking it away.

hell be fine they are just dangerous for babies as theyre so small baby can choke if he didnt have a problem with that then hell be fine, just be careful in future that could have been a pill

It is a known fact that babies that eat smarties grow up to be …………. smarties. My 1 yr old regularly eats Lucky Charms cereal he finds on the floor. We are hoping he grows up to be a lucky Lotto winner and supports us forever after

He’ll be fine.

he should be fine because its only a smartie but be careful what he puts in his mouth because u dont no what things people leave around these days and some dont even care if babys will pick it up !

Waiting room where???
If its just a smartie and you are sure of this, no harm at all
if you were in a hospital, doctors, chemist then it could have been prescribed medicine and i would ask a doctor to be on the safe side
