best thing to do, especially if she’s got it in her chest is sit in the bathroom with her
Fill the bath up with hot water, the steam will help with the blocked up nose and heavy chest
worked every time when my son was a newborn
also try to prop her mattress in her crib up when she sleeps, put a small rolled up blanket underneath it
this will also help

Don’t self medicate a baby. You need to talk to the doctor before you give them anything.

You could also try saline nose drops. Babies hate it but it makes it easier to get the mucus out of her nose with the aspirator.

Ring the NHS helpline. Do not use anything until you have checked with them.

Assuming you are in the UK it is probably best to phone NHS Direct, they will be able to advise and if necessary get a doctor to phone you back. Failing that, if you phone the maternity unit at your local hospital, they will also advise.
Hope this helps!

BEST ADVICE-
Just give her/him the baby multi-vitamin, ‘Enfamil’ has one in liquid form what i give to my child everyday named Poly-Vi-Sol Multi-vitamin drops for infants and toddlers. And try non-alcoholic saline drops which are safe to use to break down the mucus in the baby’s nose.
It is better u give your child 100% juice instead if those harmful medicines they dont help with the cold they just suppress it therefore not giving your child the chance to build up it’s immune system.
Let your child build up his/her own immunity defenses that way when the same cold comes back your child have a better chance of getting over it quickly or the cold not having an affect on him/her at all.
TRUST ME IT WORKS!
And if its serious then consult your doctor
BTW didnt u know they said not to give children under 2 years of age any cold medicines, this been on the news worldwide!

You should ask your local Chemist.

My doctor told me when a baby is under 2 months old, a cold or a fever could mean a sign of something else much more serious. Therefore, she wanted me to call her whenever I noticed something abnormal. She also told me when my baby is over 2 months old, then I can use my judgment and call her when my baby’s temperature reaches above 100.4 degree. Maybe you should do the same!

as she is very young you must take care.. if you want to you can contatc nhs direct .look on the net i think they even answer emails? i have had nose drops which were good i think they were saline drops (available at some chemists) but i am unsure of the age to be given? the doc would prob say the steam from hot water..
