Effectively preemie will most likely be as well small..Most newborn clothes are a tiny big for the first number of weeks seeing as the normally loses excess weight at initial..My daughter was 8lbs 4oz when we left the and when we went back 2 days later for our examine up she was 7lbs 5oz which is completely regular..Some of her newborn fit fantastic and some have been huge, all brands are distinctive..I noticed that the brand Carter ran a little massive on my daughter.

Take some Tiny Baby & Some Newborn just in case :)

My daughter was 6lbs6oz and I took some tiny baby and some newborn, she fit in tiny baby perfectly and was wearing them for a month before she got into newborn clothes, but she could still wear her newborn clothes they were just a little big.

My Sister took some of the tiny baby clothes I had for my daughter, and when her daughter was born she fit in newborn perfectly, she is a very long baby even though my sister is only 5ft4.

Maybe borrow “tiny baby ” sized pjs from your sister and also get new newborn sized ones as if they are too big for the birth they will soon fit.

I took newborn size, and it was still big on my girls. Preemie probably wouldn’t have fit them.
It’s okay if the clothes are a little big; baby will grow into them very, very quickly!

get some for a tiny baby or first size..you’ll be suprised how fast they grow and there better to be too big than too small

just buy 2 sizes, newborn size and premie size take two outfits if the baby cant fit into the premie size return it. if the baby can, keep the newborn size the baby will eventually be able to fit in to that. and they do grow fast i always have the next size up on hand.

i wouldn’t buy preemie sizes… even if baby is small enough for them, you won’t get a lot of use out of them. i have noticed that different brands run smaller or larger, even though they’re the same size. gerber outfits (to me, anyway) seem to run a size smaller than average (the 6-9 month fits like a 3-6 month, etc. they also seem to be made of stretchier material than other baby clothes, so even if they’re a bit small, they’ll still stretch a bit, and be alright.

take two or three outfits to the hospital, just in case, try taking a 0-3 mo. gerber onesie incase baby is small, but remember, even if the outfit is a little too big, it will still go on, and honestly, the first couple weeks after my son came home, we didn’t leave the house, because #1, i was too tired, #2, it was too hot to take him out, and #3, i was worried about germs

My son was 9lb 3oz born, a big baby, and newborn was too big on him when he was first born. I had some newborn baby-gros from Asda and they were too long and too baggy, my mum brought him a first size baby-gro in with her and it fit perfectly. Most of the supermarket brand clothes are a little bit on the big side anyway.

I would take a couple of first size and a couple of a tiny baby and that way at least one of the two will fit, you can get “three in a pack” sleepsuits in each size for around £3-£4 and that’s all you really need in the hospital. People usually buy clothes as gifts once the baby is born so you’ll end up with loads of things in loads of different sizes. All of the clothes I had at home when my little boy was born were a mix of newborn and 0-3.
