whats the youngest a baby can get its first tooth?

Question by Lea B: the a child can get its 1st ?
My pal reckons her infant got his initial at eight weeks old, he does have four already at 5 months previous. My 11 week old baby is dribbling and putting her fists in her mouth and also rubbing her cheeks could she be teething currently?

Some babies are born with teeth.

So yes its feasible she is teething but it may be months till it pops thru…My son began teething at 4 months and didnt get a tooth till he was 6 and a half months.

Some babies are born with teeth! So it’s more than possible that she’s teething already.

My daughter is 17 weeks old and cut her first tooth last week…she’d been showing signs of teething since she was 6 weeks old.

    Good luck! x

mine started teething at 2 months and got his first at 4 and his second right afterwards. he’s been getting a new one about every 2 weeks or so since — he’s 9 months now. give your baby something to chew on and just wait it out!

As the others said, some babies are born with teeth.

It’s possible that your baby is teething, but babies dribble and once they discover their hands, they go right in the mouth. So it could be or not be.

yet i think she is teething what u can do is keep looking at her gums to see if there is some thing white coming through if so so she starting to get teeth my daughter is 8months now but she still has her bottom teeth that she got at 5months hoping she will get more teeth at 9months

from what you said I believe your babies teething. Rubbing her cheeks or banging her head could mean shes in pain. Try giving her something to chew on.
Your baby should have a mouthful of chompers when he’s about 3. If your baby’s an early developer, you may see his first white cap (usually one of the bottom middle teeth) as early as 3 months. The vast majority sprout their first tooth between 4 and 7 months of age.
Or maybe your baby isn’t teething at all. Go to Babycenter.com for help. If this doesn’t help and you grow concerned go to your baby’s doctor

She probably is, give her something cold to chew on, you can buy baby teethers that you can put in the fridge/freezer. It really soothes their gums!
Also bonjella is the best thing ever for when babys are teething! It numbs the gums slightly, which relieves the pain. & they seem to love the taste of it also!!
