Where is best place to take a baby on holiday?

Question by lol_Erin: Exactly where is most effective place to take a on vacation?
I have a 2 month old little girl and we are desperate to get away for a week in June prior to I return to work. I have to have inspiration on where to go with my partner and daughter in Terrific Britain. This is our very first kid so we have no experience of taking a young (she will be about 3.5 mths old when we go away) on holiday. Each year we commonly go to one of the Greek islands but we feel this would be too lengthy a flight for a (even though we would love to go abroad) plus there is the question of travel cots, buggys and sterilsing the bottles to contend with!! Any help/suggestions would be significantly appreciated.

Genuinely you shouldn’t worry about infants and extended flights, typically the engine noise lulls babies to sleep (the white noise impact, like driving in a vehicle or making use of the hoover), so the only practical predicament is whether the airline can provide a bassinet seat. Most do, but check if it is a low-expense outfit. We’re about to go to South America with our 9-week old!

Holidays are mental. Changing locations just makes it easier for your mind to absorb the relaxed feeling of “getting away”. I’d personally suggest going to a massage place and staying at a hotel a few miles away from your hometown. That way you and the baby can have some alone time to cuddle and read stories. But Since you love to go abroad, I’d suggest sandy beaches and Sunshine.

we are the same we have a 3 month old i would reccomend maybe spain or france as they are only 2 hour flights. i know with first choice travel companies they sometimes do a baby pack which includes cot buggy highchair sterilizer change mat and bottle warmer. but make sure they do this before you book and order from travel company before you go to make sure you get.

alternitivly boots sell cold water sterilizing bags that you can put bottles and cold water in for an hour to sterilize. take your own buggy and sun parasol this can double up as a high chair and boots also sell a pop up travel cot which is the size of a medium sized hand bag.

be careful of bottled water for making up formula feeds as some may be harmful to the babies tummy when mixed with the powder.

hope this helps enjoy your holiday

I went to local places such as Virginia, Florida, Maryland with amusement parks/ beaches/ pools for my newborn that were kid friendly.

There were so many moms there I had a great time. I kept my baby on the same schedule and tried to make her comfortable as the sun beats down in southern states.

Hope you find a good place to go.

Greece in June will be far too hot for a 3.5 month old, you will be spending all your time worrying about the heat and sunburn and not enjoying yourself at all. There are not many places or resorts that cater for babies of that age, and besides would you really want to entrust the care of your baby to a stranger? In my experience, you will enjoy your holiday if you can go with a trusted group or family, where does not matter, just avoid climates that would ‘test’ an adult and try to have fun, though babies do take up most of your time, if you have friends or family there to help and share the burden, it might allow you to enjoy a break.
